Inspiration: My Sheep Know My Voice

 

Description

This endearing paper & felt creation is a playful and sweet reflection on the promise of the Christian life.  The Bible is filled with references to sheep, lambs and pastures. David in the Psalms, even as a mighty warrior and great king, often reflected on the lessons of his own shepherding days.

Much later Jesus was also happy to use that well known theme in order to explain how He was, in fact, the Shepherd long since prophesied about.  Calling those ready to hear Him, He assures they will understand in their hearts that it is His voice calling them, and He will fulfill the Davidic promise of dwelling in restful pastures, for all who answer that call.

Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27

Cheerful is a Christian collective working in mixed media, largely based in Ireland & the UK. These artists prefer to remain anonymous under the umbrella of the collective name 'Cheerful'. Cheerful produce a large variety of art styles, from traditional fine art to digital multimedia pieces, including projection mapping, AR & VR. This is reflected in their reimagining of many prominent traditional visual art styles, and era's, remixed with more contemporary media, art styles, or using bold interpretations.
